More specifically, Outlook 2003. I think I've found my first "bug-ish" (no reference to the bug form Aussie-ville) problem.

I'm setting up a pop3 account in Outlook 2003 to my business email. When I set it up and to a "test" before saving the data the inbound and outbound goes through perfectly fine every time. Once I save it though and do a send a receive half the time the outbound errors out due to some type of "security" or "authenticating" issue. As soon as that happens if I go right back into my pop3 settings and "test" it, works perfectly fine.

The reason I'm assuming it's a Vista compatibility issue is b/c I never had these problems with the account on XP. Oh...and every time I open the program it pulls up the user agreement window.

Any ideas?

P.S. Any ideas that don't entail "Upgrade to Office 2007" as I don't have the money for that ATM.

Office 2003 is compatable with Vista, I've never used Outlook always used Outlook Express and now with Vista I use Windows mail and that works awesome.

Try the same settings in Windows mail and see if you get the same errors, or double check your setings
Incoming pop3 mail.yourservername.com
Outgoing mail (SMTP) smtp.your isp.net (or a .com etc)

server ports outgoing 25
incoming is usually 110

Aye, the settings are all correct...like I said...it works perfect when testing it...just bugs on the actualy send/receive.

Windows Mail...they have a built in one now...I didn't know that!

I'll be checking that out first thing when I get home tonight.

Thanks Donna!

Edit: I'm a newb...I did know they had a built in one...just looks like it's gotten a nice overhall in Vista.

I just tried running it through Windows Mail and it seems to work fine from what I can tell.

Yup, did that and it works like a charm. Haven't had any timeout issues or anything.

Thanks for the recommendation Donna!
