If your a regular digg.com user I'm sure you would of seen the story over a month ago where a man had his camcorder stolen and he stated he knew who stole it.
He posted her phone number and email and asked digg users to contact her and he also posted a video on youtube but it was removed due to terms of use violation., the story made front page on digg and digg users hacked her myspace account, sent threatening emails some even threatening her life and phone calls and whatever else they did.
I read through a few of the comments a lot are just pathetic in what they done and the mentality of some people, it amazes me that is actually allowed to happen. Everyone wants free speech but that's way over the top.
Then the guy posts on digg he's being charged with a felony as under Michigan law it is a felony to post a message on the internet that identifies a person and causes them to be contacted without their consent two or more times.
and now today as it's posted on digg again Woman harassed via Digg.com as it made the news
http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6...52&nav=0Rce
I'm unsure if she took his webcam or not but I really hope he is charged, what those guys done to her in threatening emails and phone calls is pathetic.
Not posting the url's to the digg stories I'm sure you can look those up yourself.
Thoughts?

I think it's pathetic how someone can think it's appropriate to retaliate by endangering someone's privacy (and quite obviously life with the number of complete crack jobs on the internet) over something so trivial as a camera...
The world we live in today huh. Really does speak for this guys character if that's his way of sorting out little problems.

Yeah, I heard about this and think it's completely ludicrous.

Finally got to watch the news video on http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=6...52&nav=0Rce took that long to load lol they must have 1,000's downloading that or a poopy server.
I'm still baffled in how this has even stayed on digg so long as it's completely against user conduct in what this guy and others have done.

To be honest, after that big "user revolt" that happened pretaining to the HD DVD security cracking Digg is probably nervous about pulling anything off of there.

Why did she steal the webcam though? I think she should be charged for theft and him for OTT bullying fellonies.

He's just a big fat cyber baby who couldn't handle anything like an adult. But yea I'd be pretty pissed if somebody stole my camera, but not pissed enough to go post addresses and a phone number on Digg that's just weird
