They are both at the moment, css/html, with 100% no tables or images, I will probably adding a few images later, these are just the minimum for now

Im stumped on how to display the news/content with the ajax sub tab box floated on the right, maybe just text, so suggestions on that

well ... first ... it is tooo wide .... you may change the width of the page ... my opinion ... the rest of the template is really good ...

except for that green one ... it is not easy on my eyes ... well maybe it`s just me ...

keep it up ...

great job ...

Thanks, I just made the green one because I was bored, there both the same, and its a liquid layout so it strenchs the whole page nomatter what size. are you suggesting having it fixed? what would be a good fixed size?

Edit: i took a look at that green one again and its kinda brighter then i remembered :worthy: , i was thinking maybe a blue/silver, but i like the black

Thanks

The screenshot was taken on a pretty wide monitor, so it makes the layout seem like it's just really wide. The fluid width is great, I'm a big fan of that.

The template is good, but I would reconsider your blue/silver thoughts, I thing some blue accents would look great on that page. I'm not saying to replace all the black with blue, just add some accents in appropriate places.

Here are some stats from my website about visitor's screensize. Nearly 30% are on a widescreen. Mind you, a little over 10% have a width no larger than a 1280x1024 screen. However, 20% is still a pretty big number. A lot of big companies consider 2-4% to be a large portion of website viewers to not optimize for. I'm not sure how these stats compare to other websites, but thats what I get! One option you have is making a semi-fluid layout. You can set min/max values for the width of your page. My website will stretch from 740 (around there) to 1100 but not below and not over. Takes a fair bit of work and tweaking, not to mention cross browser compatibility is a pain, but it saves the headache of "Whats the best size for me to make my website?".

Normal
1024x768 32.81%
1280x1024 29.57%
1600x1200 2.21%
800x600 1.83%
1152x864 3.89%

Total: 70%

Widescreen
1280x800 9.12%
1680x1050 7.32%
1440x900 5.52%
1280x960 1.62%
1920x1200 2.07%

Total: 30%
