Hi guys, Just finished designing a new portfolio

Just wanted some feedback.

Only the home page currently works.

Please comment on layout etc

Also please notify me on any rendering issues.

I went for a minimal style design.

Thanks :winner:

2 things I noticed.

1. No color...although I understand the concept no color on a website gets old real fast (maybe this will change when you actually get your portfolio up?)
2. Your menu buttons. I can hold the mouse a good 50 - 100 pixels below the button and it'll still activate it. While this may allow for easier coding it doesn't look as professional.

To expand on this, Archangel is right, having the active area below the image is not a great idea. However, having an increased hit area above the tab is excellent usability. Studies have been done and bigger hit areas are a good idea. You just have to do them in a logical way. That means the area below where content *could* be or *would* be on most designs is not a good spot for the rollover.

To me, it looks like it takes a lot of cues from Mr. Matt's site, LostPhotograph. I think it could use some color somewhere. All the B&W makes me feel like I'm looking at a Rorschach ink blot test.

Just a tip: If you are looking for some job with this site, you can`t just leave it unfinished. Nobody wants to hire someone who doesn`t finish what he started.

I like the black and white theme though.
