So I'm working on a site for my internship which happens to be with the University I attend. I'd love some feedback. You are correct.. that current one is hiddious. I hope the student that done that failed their class LOL.
I like your one.. although I find it very simple, it is clean and crisp and no clutter to get in the way of what is important. the content.

Very nice design, your is a lot better than the current one.

too much empty space at the bottom
also, I don't understand why that grey stripe didving content from header
and would be good to see how the organization of the index content would end like, on your live exemple there is only a few text

Like everyone else said...MUCH better than the current one.
I would find a way to set your category sections apart (The Center, Potential Interns, etc.). Right now they blend right in with the links and everything tends to run together.
Also, you need a home button or at least to have the logo up top link back to the home page.
And I agree with Matheus, where is all that dead space at the bottom coming from?
Keep it rolling man...this look real good when it's all done!

This latest version is better than the previous.....i like it.
If i were you i'd add more contrast in the section title menu (h3 element) to differ from the menu links... maybe i would change h3 bg color.

Very nice, sleek design. It's to the point and simple, yet still visually attractive. The only thing I would look into would be the link headers. Right now they're centered and a little bigger. I would mess with those to make them stand out a little more, nothing drastic, just a little more emphasis. Otherwise, looks good!

Yeah I've been brainstorming on how best to do that. I have something cool in the works as far as the section headers are concerned. Thanks for the feedback!

So the cool idea I had didn't work... and I'd have to recode the entire thing to get it to work. So I added a bunch of new features instead. This looks to be the final version (i hope) and additional comments are welcome!
