hello,

The site: http://afterschool.be/summerfest2007

I made this site whit flash. Its 100% flash and its my first flash project ever :P I followed some tutorials here to understand the basic of flash, then i followed a great flash site tutorial. I compleatly changed it and its now the way how i like it. Its for a belgium party so the text is in dutch :)

Please rate and comments, you can go hard on me :o. And like i said its my first flash project ^^

For a first that is damn good. Summerfest ah. I know one of the organizers of that. That moving text that blurs is a bit nasty on the eyes though.But for a first that is pretty cool. Enough has been added / changed to make it alright. Sure the design is close, but *shrug*.

I'd suggest you up the frame rate, things are looking pretty choppy. You'll have to adjust your tweens and all, but itll look smoother. 30 fps should be good.

That tutorial mentioned there really bugs me. It's using old crappy code, which is fine if thats what you want to do, but teaching it to people? That is dumb. If you're going to write a tutorial, learn the proper code yourself. *end rant

Nevertheless.. even if that was done from a tutorial that is still pretty cool. But if just the fla file was used and did not follow the tutorial then that is not cool.

Pax, maybe the code is old (I would have no idea) unlike my attempts at flash, atleast it works LOL.
Might have a run through that tut and see how I get on.

Not bad mate. I havn't looked at the tut to compare, just taking the site on based on it's own merits. Overall nice. Personally I don't like intro's but that's just a pet hate of mine.

You have some strange things with the fonts happening on the crew pages. The next page link on the page one always displays as a diff font to the previous page on next page two. The page one first renders as one font and then changes, while page two always renders as the end font.

Otherwise not too bad mate. Good effort for a first go I reckon.

Really thnx for the respons guys :)

First yeah i used the tut, i just followed it myself to understand flash and then edited it. The fonts is the biggest part thats bugging me and im still working hard on it to put on all the pages the same font...

For the choppy thingys ill try 30 frames/sec :) And yeah i just followed the tut and the disign because its my first flash site so yeah lol it looks the same :)

Ill work hard on it :D if people have more tips then they are welcome ^^ and yeah pax i just followed it and really dont know if its old, but it works :P

EDIT: I changed it to 30 frames/sec, did some font fixing (now i hope it looks better :P)
