Im working on a template and i have a nice idea which involves some thick curved lines to go along a certain area of a content box. I know of a good way to make a smooth rounded lines, boxes etc. although when i try and use that technique to try this it never really works, instead it just begins to blur the part of the lines where it gets thinner.

I found a template on the web that has thick curved lines similiar to what i mean, so i cut quickly cut them out from the page so that i could show an example of what i mean: Example - Click Here

I could sit there for a large amount of time and hand draw them with the pen or polygonal lasoo tool on Photoshop Cs2 but it would be very hard to make each one even in width etc.
But im sure there would be an alternate way to do it.
So does anyone know of tutorial that explains how to do this on Photoshop Cs2? Or if anyone knows.

Thanks
- Neeox

I personally haven't found a short cut into doing this, just the pen tool and a lot of patience. I'm sure if you sat down and use your eye you could get it very similar in width each time.

Just patience :friends:.

Oh and don't even attempt this with a polygon lasso tool.

Hmm i was sure there would of been another way of doing it.
Lol i can actually do a real good job with the polygonal lasoo tool, cause i know a nice way to smooth things out, but it never seems to work with this.

Well ill still chech this thread and see if anyone else knows of a way, if not then i guess later on ill try with a pen although i would prefer not to.

So yeah anyone else know of a way?

One thing you could try is making one curly line, duplicating it and moving it up or down, and doing that untill you have enough bars. Then filling each bar in with colour.

Won't be exactly the same, but similar.

Hope this helps,

I just figured out a very easy way to do it, i was just messing around trying to do it and i rememberd that the shear tool can do it.

All i had to do was draw a straight line as thick as i wanted, then go to Distort > Shear > And then change the settings in that and it would curve the lines however i wanted to.

Thanks for your suggestions though.
