There is one thing that really bugs me about safari and that is that ugly default button.
Is there a way to get it to use the one from the site instead of that UGLY default plastic thing.
I hate that button showing on sites.

Ta muchly.

unless the site tells the browser to use a certain image, it will display the capsule button. It's the same way on windows, just a different default.

That is the reason I don't use safari. When I do sites myself and have a dark button with white text I cannot see the text in safari because the text is white and the button is also white. Very annoying. I have gone through all the prefs also.

Lastcrime, we are talking about the way that a button shows in safari.

Yeah, this is annoying. Here's my CSS workaround...Safari doesn't seem to display any style on its buttons at all (except maybe a font size or something), so I just change the font size to 0.01em (won't get too small at all in Safari) and style it however I want in FF; Safari will just display a normal button at normal font size.

Oh and Gadget, Tom whoever hehe.. you have one thing to look forward to with the mac that I absolutely LOVE.
That is it's screen capture feature. Forget about a screen cap key that grabs the whole desktop then you have to load up a graphic program and edit that cap, or buy a program that does what you want. With OSX you get all that for free.

Command + Shift + 3 = full screen cap
BUT (the good part)
Command + Shift + 4 = region select capture. Way cool!

and if you hold down ctrl too, you get cross-hairs where you can drag your capture area.

lol, whoops, I meant to say that if you throw in control, it copies it to your clip board instead of saving it to your desktop. My bad.

Try the v3 beta. http://www.apple.com/safari/download/

It's uninstallable if you don't like it. I love it though.

Yeah now that one DOES show the image buttons and not the ugly one. So that ugly button must be a 2.x.x thing.
