marquee tool?

hello

i have highlighted an area with the marquee tool and i am unsure on how to find the size of this area, please could someone advise as to how i can do this?

go to window, info to open up the info palette in photoshop this should tell you the height and width of your selection with the marquee tools. Also its probly going to show you the measurements in inches if you want it to show you in pixels click the little arrow thing to the right and go to palette options where it says ruler units change it to pixels.

O yeah i forgot to mention it might not show if you dont have rulers on to get rulers on press CTRL + R on pc CMD + R on a mac.

or you could just do what I do, make the selection, then press ctrl+c, then ctrl+n, and it will show you the dimensions :lol: If you're on a mac, replace ctrl with cmd

yah you could do that but using the info palette is better i think

yea, once it's open it saves keystrokes. I'm gonna open mine now in fact :lol:
