I just finished the book a little over 20 minutes ago and if you're into the series you won't be disappointed!

I was worried about the final book but she pulled it off a lot better than I thought possible. The last chapter "19 years later" I thought was pretty cheesy, but aside from that I really enjoyed reading the final chapter in the Harry Potter Series.

I heard this book sucks, luckily I was told everything about it and was able to ruin the ending for many, many, Hairy Pooter fans.

The ending made me laugh, this jk whatever lady has made how many millions of dollars off this series, and THATS the ending she comes up with? Makes me laugh at all the saps who got so into these books.

Then again, all this is just my opinion.

harsh - but i agree on the sentiment :D ive never been able to get into harry potter myself (not that i really put alot of effort into it).

so, who died at the end? :D i heard a rumour it was going to be some sort of genocide... and was kind of hoping it was true.

I LOVED this book. It was by far my favourite book of the series. I honestly had no problem with the ending. JK is writing an encyclopedia of Harry Potter that'll go into details of all the characters and their back stories. It was such a gripping story and action filled and it was awesome....

The movies DEFINITELY don't do the books justice. They're good, but nothing like the books.

interestingly enough...out of all the HP books on movies so far the book from the most recent movie (book 5) is the longest of the first 5 books and movie 5 is the shortest of the first 5 movies.

Go figure.

That being said, although I still quite a few issues with it, film 5 was 'interpretation' they've managed so far. I tend to have the imagination of a spastic pepperoni so the films have helped me visualise things better when (re)reading the books...however Umbridge = WRONG. Completely wrong casting imo...

Actually I could go on forever in this post...I'm going to stop and grab some breakfast :angrylooking:

I didn't really understand OOTP the book at all. I thought the movie put it all very well.

I would love to see what a spastic pepperoni looks like.

From an Artistic standpoint I thought the 5th movie was very well done. It was also my least favourite because it deviated from the book so much.

For the 5th, they had no choice to do so. The 5th book in question was rather poor in content and could have been described as "The-social-school-and-love-life-of-Harry-Potter-with-some-action-at-the-end." I think the movie was amazingly done!

A great chat with JKR. Lots of good questions with a lot of good answers about characters and events in all of the Harry Potter novels.

WARNING!!! INCLUDES A LOT OF SPOILERS!!!!!
