hello

I have a beginners question i have looked for tutorials but nothing seems to touch on what i am having trouble with. I am looking to draw a rectangle. i want to change the colour of the lines and leave the middle blank. i was able to do this before there is a button in the toolbar that does it auto, but i am very new at this.

thanks.

draw your rectangle with the Marquee Tool, then right click > Stroke

You can change all the options from there.

You could also apply a stroke by selecting your layer, and pressing:

Layer > Layer style > Stroke

That should work :(
