just to add to this. i managed to close th test closer together. if i put a pae in between words. how do i reduce the size of the gap?

Have you tried highlighting just the gap itself and changing the settings?

all the settings are there, just read.
the words closer together is the one thats above the indicated one (foe the letters), which says auto in default setting.
