i got to tell you i was really sceptical, what with all the driver problems ect...
yeah sure a few games dont work but everything is AWESOME! windows vista is looking sweet as a nut, i love the task bar features (roll over for previews etc) the slide show rocks and the choose screen thingy is the BIZZ!!
all my drivers are now installed and most my programs work,
dont got vista yet? you should it really is as good as they say it is on the tin lol.
im liking it alot, my pc is miles faster than i was on XP, granted i got good specs but damn Vista is musch better than i had thought it could be!!
oh and the dreamscence background is sweet as a nut lol!!

As much as I liked Vista, I had to get a Mac Book
Nice to see you're enjoying yourself though

In my books that have both done a good job which is why I really look down in these Mac V windows debates as they BOTH have a purpose in the market. As for your suggestion Tom about joining, I don't think I would like to see that happen, but I would like to see windows release their OS on a UNIX backbone. Maybe then they would not have so many resource issues.

I had Vista Business version on my old laptop - Dual Core, 1 gig ram. And it ran shit. Vista alone took up OVER 70% of RAM USAGE. It was cool to start of with, but seriously it started to run shit. Not to mention all the annoying authentication messages. They pissed me off. Sure it looks cool, but it's just way too much. I mean, did they really need to include that 3D window switch feature? Sure it's a novelty to begin with, but it just isn't useful. I never used it once. I could go on, but this isn't a Vista VS XP thread

Sorry but i wouldn't disable that unless your sure your computers pretty solid, all trojans hijack running processes in memory, if there was one on yor comp they could execute alot of stuff.
Just my 2 cents.
