Hi everyone.

I'ts probably me just being stupid but I can't seem to be able to open/use the material manager. Is there something I need to do to objects before you can apply materials?

Thanks

1. in material palette, choose new material or choose one of the presets (my case "danel" preset):
Attached File  NewMat1.jpg   19.52KB   105 downloads

2. now you have a preview of a material you can change or apply:
Attached File  MatPreview.jpg   11KB   91 downloads

3. By double clicking on the preview you can change the settings and name (double clicking on name lets you change the name also):
Attached File  MatDouybleClick.jpg   28.48KB   91 downloads

4. After changing all the setttings you have to apply the material by dragging it onto the object in preview window or, like here onto the name of the object in the objectmanager:
Attached File  DragMat.jpg   5.86KB   61 downloads

5. Then you will see a material tag behind the objects name indicating it has a material applied:
Attached File  MatApplied.jpg   5.07KB   72 downloads

Thats it.
It sounds complicater then it in reality is...
