I usually use plain old drawing paper, but that was done on lined paper in blue pen. I scanned it, desatureated it, and then darkened it a little to make it more visible, the lines dissappeared. I took the layer with the drawing on it, used a light gaussian blur on it, set the blending mode to overlay, then I merged them. I proceeded to whip out some grunge brushes and brushed around the edges to make a border. The drawing took about 5 minutes and the process described above took about 3. I know you didn't ask for my process, but you got it anyway!
