And now time for a fun fact...I am a forced vegetarian. Yes, I am a 16 year old being restricted from eating meat by his parents because apparently it is a "healthier" lifestyle. Bull bloody fecking shite it is. Bring on university...
Nowadays when you can get by eating only vego products and get all necessary amino acids from vegetables and crops (or Soylentlike products for that matter) there is nothing saying that it's a healthier way of living. Meat is a natural part of the human diet and some cultures have even got by fine, eating nothing but meat (Eskimos). I think meat is simply tastes then vegetables and crops in general, it makes up about 10-20% of what i eat and i wouldn't give it up because of the bs vegans tell me all the time (its better for the planet, its better for you, the animals have feelings, how would you like it if you where eaten, etc) , i have sisters, friends and other relatives who are vegetarians and vegans i hear it lots. Myself however I do not, eat processed meat products at home, I'm also restrictive about it when I'm out, for example I haven't eaten a sausage in 10 years but thats because i know what kind of stuff is put into the meat during processing, not the meat itself.
That meat would accumulate toxins is just a bad excuse, its not harmful unless you eat extreme amounts, like no one should or contaminated meat (which never happens).
I have nothing against vegi people as long as they don't try to scare or force me into believing in their naive opinions of how the world should (in their mind) work and how i should (in their mind) behave and what attitude (in their mind) i should have.
Don't worry Matthew. for every animal you don't eat ill eat 3.
And about the whole "no sex with carnivores", good for them limiting their potential partner field, it just broadens mine because i wouldn't want to be with a girl like that in the head anyway.
