Was at the BC Fastball Provincials today and early this morning we had emergencey services sirens going nuts, couldn't get down to see what had happened until lunchtime.

A locomotive derailed and collided with a train on the opposite set of tracks 2 others were also going northbound, these are freight trains one was full of diesel tanks. Surrounding parks were closed due to the danger of a tanker laden with diesel exploding, I snuck in and took some pics as it's not something we see here in PG everyday.

The black smoke was incredible from the ball fields this afternoon and they've had a water bomber plane going over for several hours trying to put the fire out they were still flying over when I left to come home. They couldn't get anyone over to see if everyone was ok as there was no access in by road so I have to wait til it's on the news and see.

Oh shit, looks pretty bad, were there any injuries or deaths? Looks pretty severe, good old Donna getting her camera for some snaps to share with us lol

I dunno, they couldn't get anyone over there it was too dangerous at the time and the river from what we heard was all on fire as well, there's no road access and well you can see the huge drop down.

I had my cam and video with me as I had to do all the Team shots. One of the crazy girls here done the Evolution of Dance in full but youtube is not letting me upload it I was going to post it but looking at other ways.

holy cow...
2 freight trains, so hopefully very few poeple lost lives, + 1 was radio controlled according to the news bulletin you posted donna...

Thats 2 disasters in 2 weeks, hope nothing like this happens next week!
