First of all, I apologise for the page stretching picture! Anyway, I've been dying to know how to get the spiral pattern behind the picture of Paris, I tried the filter way and it ended up all sharp and sketchy, are there any other ways, or some guidance? Possibly even a texture? Oh, and what is it called?! Thanks. xx

one way i can think of off the top of my head (theres probly easier ways) is to draw one using the pen tool the using the gradient tool add a mask and do a black to white making the transparency of that layer look like so then you could just copy and paste the layer resize it change it i dono, thats about the only way i can think of.

I would use the polygonal lasso tool... have the 2 colors ready on the foreground/background color and just fill it in.
