I installed xampp on my computer, just to see what it was like, but then noticed it took up quite alot of cpu usage - so uninstalled it -
went into dreamweaver, and now I cant preview in browser - it just says cant find page - im confident that its to do with installing this program becasue dreamweaver worked fine before. How do i fix this problem - i dont mind re installing dreamweaver - and for a short answer if you know that will fix it then just say so, but if it can be done by changing some settings then i would prefer to do that.
Just as an offshoot - if you install apache or any program simialar to that does it fool with dreamweaver setting even if you havnt linked the 2 together =
Pls someoene help me with this one
Urgent help needed, dreamweaver and XAMPP

I hope I'm not too late.
Re-installing will fix the problem.
But before you do that, I don't know if you know this already or not.
By default, windows cannot view PHP files, it doesn't process them, you do need to install XAMPP, or even better as I find, WebDeveloper ServerSuite.
And with XAMPP, you do need to make a couple of modifications to the settings in order to get it working properly.
If you're making HTML pages, and then you can't view them, then I'd say that you've screwed up something in the system, and it has nothing to do with Dreamweaver.
I hope that helped
