Hi all.. I'm a beginner in Flash, actually just a couple of days ago. My next project requires me to build a website in Flash so I've been reading Macromedia Flash MX H-O-T book and its helping a lot, but I'm still trying to get use to it. I need to create a button (with a picture of a face on it)... and when someone clicks on it, the background fades... the picture enlarges.. and a profile of the person appears on the right. So I know there's several steps in doing this.. can someone help me out?

Try reading some tutorials on Image Galleries. That is essentially what you are creating. If you search the P2L database you'll find a ton of tuts on it.
