Hi guys im a new member,
well im sitting here with photoshop open and i have spent along time trying to figure out how to create a cool image like the one below.
i think its awesome but cant understand how its done.
ive got a similar image of myself with shades, but im finding it hard to create that effect.
can someone please shed some light into my misery and give me a hand.

ps: i tried searching on this site for this effect, but didnt know really what to type in the search box, except 'cool image'

it looks like they just outlined the guy, then inverted the selection, then went to levels and changed the levels to get the desired colour, they repeated this for three different colours on all different layers and then opened up the animation palette and made a keyframe for each colour.

lol gosh u make it sound easy!
im really a newbie with photoshop aswell, even though i have had it for 1 year. ha
it would be ideal if someone could create a tutorial with some images, but i would still appreciate it, if someone could just create steps on how to do that like what buttons to hit in photoshop. for example:
STEP 1: open image etc..

well i gave it a go.
i got quite faar, but just couldnt get the effect on the shades,
its really difficult to create....

tha shades are just see thru --> its the effect from the background your seeing. (layer is said to difference r something)

Can Someone post a tutorial how to creat this picture and any other alternatives please, well ive got photoshop now but i havent got a clue where to start apart from opening the image lol, any tip etc would be great
