I'm looking for a good book on Photoshop (and possibly Dreamweaver) CS3 I'm a beginner really and I want to learn how to do things in CS3 and where to start really. I'm not really a photographer I'm looking at it more for creating web graphics and web layouts as a experiment.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

HG

your best option is just to learn some techniques for web layouts is to look at tutorials. But i know lynda.com has some books for photoshop cs3 and dreamweaver cs3, also i came across http://www.photoshoptopsecret.com/ these videos look amazing.

Thanks for the reply. Those videos do look good, but I don't want to spend that much money to be honest with you. I was just wondering if anyone thinks cs3 for dummies book is any good??

there good for absolute beginners, who open the program for the first time,

soon you'll be wanting more though.

"Classroom in book" series are good too, as second,
and everyone should have a book from the "bible" series.

But other then that, to be honest, the most productive tuts are VT's, and what you pick up here etc...

Personally like most things I do (Web Wise and perhaps socially :tiphat:)

I think the best way to learn.. is play with the software.. Read tutorials from P2L and play.

It works best for me, then again I've never been a book sort of person.

Bert Monroy has done some pretty good books on Photoshop. He does more real life drawings and I have one of his books here I got from Amazon which is pretty good. His work is just about photo quality look and in this book he shows you all the tricks on getting such an image.
