I'm working on a website layout for a client at the moment, and I'd like to use a curved header (they're looking for something a little old-fashioned, and straight lines aren't working too well). I'd also like to have the links along this curve, but the client definitely wants to use "dropdown" menus (or something to that effect). Is there any way to have the links on that menu pop out along the lower edge of the curve? If I could have an image map appear rather than your typical boxy dropdown appear, that would be fantastic.

Check out Dynamic Drive. They have some examples of different navigation styles, including some drop down menus.
