ok well ive done quiet alot of photoshop but ive never had experiennce with making rounded shapes and stuff like im having real problems with this header i designed in paint lol, i tried the pen tool i was just wondering is there any other tools that could help me and also if u know any good tutorials on this that would be great thanks.

Hold down shift when using pen tool. If i remember right it makes it the same on both sides. Also use the circle lasso tool. It could be helpful. Also if the desing is the same on both sides do half and then go to transform.
