Can you guys teach me how to remove the white background[white edges] of this picture here?

You have to highlite the sections of white you want to remove and you have the following 2 options:

A) Change the white to a color that is not used elsewhere in the image like orange and then save the image as a GIF with that ornage color as transparent.

B ) Mask the white areas with the mask tool and save the image as a GIF and specify that the masked areas are transparent.
