Hey, I just recently made a new design for my photoblog, I would love some feedback on the design, there are still few elements that I'm not certain about.

Also any feedback on my portfolio would be nice, it's always nice to hear what people think, and how to improve oneself.

I love the portfolio, it's so unique! You use Mootools right? The gallery has a nice layout too, well done.

Apart from the fact that it takes forever to load your websites, you've pulled off the designs really really nicely.

THe first one- nice, professional, I LOVE IT! Question though, what's the 4.0 for?

@.CJ: Thanks a lot :) Yep it's done with mootools :)

@Bug: I've heard from a few people that the loading speed is really bad, but for most people it seems to run normally, and if I check the loading speed through another site or so it doesn't turn out that bad either.

But thanks a lot for your kind comments, the 4.0 is the rating of the image, you can vote right beneath it by hovering over the stars.

I like the photoblog more than the portfolio, it just has a great feel to it. But don't get me wrong what you've done with the portfolio is good! It doesn't take long to load for me :) either of them.

Good job mate :)

Sorry for asking a stupid question, but I am new to Web Design and this was never explained to me.
What is the reason for stating on your website that it is valid xHTML and CSS?

I'm not sure I get your question, do you mean what does it mean when a document has valid XHTML and CSS, or whats the point in telling the world you have a valid XHTML and CSS document?

Best idea is to start a new thread in the help forum because this is off topic. :)

Well to awnser both things quicky.

CSS is a seperate file that where you save the styles of different elements in your webpage.

There are developed standards for how the CSS and xHTML should be coded - This ensures that the page is shown correctly in all browsers.
