Non-Expanding Div

I'm working on a new layout so I can get back into coding. But I've faced a problem, a Div container I've made does not expand depending on the amount of information inside it. However inside the container is another container which actually holds the information. Is there still a way to make the background Div expand?

Sorted it out. Needed to remove a pointless container =D
