Hi, first of, im new here and would like to say hi to this great community !

And secondly, I've started 3D-modelling a few weeks ago and think it's great to a point!
I've came across various sites and C4D Artists and would love to know HOW EXACTLY this guy right there did this:

http://fc04.deviantart.com/fs16/f/2007/204...l_by_Ceriaz.jpg

i do NOT wonder how he got this thing together in C4d, but i do wonder how this guy used different colors for each letter, like when u export your cinema 4d file as tiff and alpha channel and seperate channel, it's nicely cut out and all ! that's understood, but damn !!!! am i missing out on a great tool in photoshop or what ???!?

basically i'm missing some sort of selection tool to get this done, is it done with the selection tool ?

and my second topic would be this, how do you put something together like this in C4d:
http://fc02.deviantart.com/fs18/f/2007/163...mmybjorkman.jpg

and ofcourse the question to this again....how did he colorize is it like that in two different colors.

help is appreciated and it's great to have such a great community to help out etc. !

kind regards

when you render with an alpha channel, and you go in photoshop to... (you guessed it) the alpha channels, its there, and just ctrl+clicking on the thumbnail will make a selection of your alphachannel on the active layer.
then he just went to the "colorize" option in the image menu.

the second image was done (i think) by defining different selections in C4D and then assigning diggerent colors to different selections.

But both did a wonderfull job, preparing and post working in photoshop, so dont expect exacly the same results.
