One day my laptop crashed. Just froze. I restarted, after that the Apache stopped working. I got it to work, but then the MySQL gave up. And whenever I press the start button it blinks once as it would be started, but then it stops. I re-installed XAMPP 3 times already...
What could be wrong?
MySQL not working

If you are running under Windows, make sure MySQL is added as a Windows service under the instance of 'MySql' (maybe 'MySQL5', like in my case). I remember having a problem like this (but I don't use any packages like XAMPP), and having to make sure Windows was recognizing it as a service.
It should have been registered as a service when you went through whatever installer you used, but to make sure, goto the Services Manager (I only know how to get to it from right clicking on the Apache tray icon and going to 'Open Services'), and search for it.

I went to services, found mysql and right-clicked and clicked start. It didn't.
Could not start the mysql service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
