I see a lot of tuts on making a website in photoshop, then slicing it up and putting it into dreamweaver. Once in DW using tables and then importing the slices. But how does one use css in the equation. I wish to move beyond tables, but dont know how to combine photshop, dreamweaver and css without tables - anyone got any advice. Nice one

It's best to hand code rather than use the slicing tool. Using the slicing tool with the auto generated code makes poopy layouts..

Although I use css and divs, I still slice a template up with PS. Just I do in a different manner and just save the images.
Normally I just make the template in PS in a canvas the size required (paying most of the attenstion to the width) and then once done. Slice off the header, footer, content, etc.
I have some videos on the subject and once my domains resolve back to the old hoster I will post a link for you.
In the meantime just keep a check on http://www.kenmight.com/videos.php
