Left 4 Dead is absolute chaos. It is intense, fast-paced, thrilling, exhilarating, and exhausting. It is everything you could ever hope for a game to be and more - every single expectation I had for the game was blown away entirely. I've recently gotten into the whole zombie killer FPS style games. I had just bought Resident Evil 4 for the Wii and I was already looking for more. I came across this AMAZING game in the works, which is being released some time next year. I'd been reading up on it, and I can tell you this sounds incredible.
The gameplay is meant for co-op multiplayer. You are 1 of 4 survivors from an outbreak of some kind of rabies infection, leaving you to fend off zombies. However, this isn't a normal game where there are different objectives or goals. It's basically just do-what-you-can-to-survive game. The AI sound awesome, as I've read that there is never a same experience, as zombies are generated in smart places, and different times and in varying numbers.
Not only can you play as the survivors, but you can actually play as the zombies aswell! This feature I found cool. You can play as 1 of 3 (4) characters, who are a special kind of zombie.
It uses advanced physics engine to cover realistic hair, dangling bodies, and more.
This game will be released for PC as far as I know, but I think it's also coming out on 360 (may have to check my facts there). Ofcourse with any FPS PC game there will be mods and upgrades released.
I've barely scratched the surface on its features, so check out the website and read up on it.

. When I first saw this game, I read the entire review on the website (which is over 20 pages), youtubed the game and watched a bunch of videos. Unfortunately the game is coming out next year, but early next year (March is the expected month), due to come Vista issues with the game. The game will be multiplayer online, so I'm guessing vista and xbox live will be in there (although I haven't officially heard/read).
