It is getting to be about that time, looking for a college, but that time is turning out to be a nightmare. For everyone: If you think that you can find your "dream" college in one day you are wrong! Looking for colleges is one of the most irritating things that you can do.

I have but three requirements for my "dream" college, a masters in web development, West USA, and it MUST have a good reputation. It sounds like a piece of cake, but it's not... So here I am writing this rant about how much college stinks, and I'm not even there yet.

If anyone else has college search horror stories they want to share go for it, or if you know of a college that fits my "dream" that I have listed let me know.

Thanks,
Lucias O`Neil

Trying to find a college for me was a bit of trouble also... all the colleges that had my program were all new to it and I didn't trust going into a course were every one was new at teaching or where the course outline hadn't had a chance to have the bugs fixed out of them if you knwo what I mean....

but after a while I found a private college which had great reviews and when I looked at teh course outline and some other information I found that they pretty much teach you and make your work as if you were already in a 3D studio... they would give use tasks as if they were our bosses and we were the employers... which I loved because It made me learn alot better in the end...

was a pain tho because when I came to start my college the first time I ended up getting a call say I was getting my operation that I was waiting for a year before. had to hold out of the college life for a couple more months but 6 months later I started again haha...

i as well had a bit of trouble. For starters I have always been interested in Game Design, and Computer Animation. I have always new that is what I wanted to do. However, right out of high school I had to attend a community college and study Graphic Design due to having an older sister in a university (Parents could not afford both). I took a year off after I got my Associates in Graphic Design. I wanted to go to a good university. I set my sites on College of Creative Studies (CCS) in Detroit. Highly recommended school, they had connections in the industry like crazy. However, tuition was around 20,000 a semester. So that cancelled that one out. Then I look into out of state, they all were extreamly pricy for what I wanted to do. I was about to say screw it when I heard about Ferris State University, in Grand Rapids michigan. I looked into it, living on my own tuition was around 5 thousand, I applied got accepted. I heard they had an Animation course, but they have a course called "Computer Animation and Game Design." So it twists both what I want into one. Its great, I am almost through my first semester, lots of homework. But all my instructors have been or still are in the industry. Right now I am learning how to model, code, how to develop a game, and how to write story scripts not only for games, but for movies as well.
I just learned as well that a story I wrote, may be used for a short movie that my one instructor is producing. So I have found enjoyment out of the hunt. I hope all you do as well.

Adio
