Hi, I saw a simular gadjet and thought, it's really pretty nifty, anyone have any experience with this all-around camera? I was looking to getting it for christmas, worth it? ATM I have a samsung digi-cam with 4Megapixels 3x optical zoom

The Toshiba Camileo Pro:

7Megapixels 4x optical zoom

Decent thing about it apart from those specs are, it's smaller than my current, seems to be better and can play mp3s :)

What do you guys think?

it costs 268$
its very nice and small, different design and its probably enough for some family vacations and such but the small design has effected the size of a ccd chip so the camera is not for more serious use

nice gadget, i wouldnt buy it

now they just change the size, eg from 5 to 7 mp and leave te same ccd chip (cuz they are expensive to make) and now you have a camera which have noticeable noise at almost every other iso other than 100, so without perfect light/flash you will get crappy pictures

I've found them for 150€ (I live in Germany)

(150€ = 220.54500US $)

Thing is i can't afford/get a proper camera for christmas, they seem to be around 400€-1000+€

My budget is 150€ and this seems to be quite nifty... mp3, pictures, videos, webcam..

Thanks for the replies

those all in one devices suck, better get a decent camera then later you get a mp3 player, they are not expensive

i recommend:
sony dsc w-55
i have sony w-55 and its great, i am very satisfied with it, and its cheaper than camileo

check my dA account there you can find some photos i've taken with it and i think they are good (the link is in my sig)
and it also takes great video, i havent got anything uploaded on youtube so your gonna have to trust me with it
