Hey everybody, in my Game Design class for the final project, I chose to model a 67 Shelby Mustang. This is my first attempt at modeling a car of any kind. I see a lot of defects in it, and it is not as good as I wish it could have been. It took me about 3 weeks to get it at this point, sadly it was due. tell me what you all think. thanks.

first I just want to ask a couple things... did you guys have a poly count limit? and if so what was it? and what was the poly count for it? and also could we have a wireframe/mesh view?

alright well I haven't ever seen any of your 3D modeling skills befor (that I know of) so for a first timer I must say it's not bad... I suggest adding a little bit of a tint to the windows so that it doesn't look like theirs nothing their... also the other thing that would help alot would be maybe practesing your lighting and rendering skills... they help alot trust me and it adds that extra touch to make your final render that much more nicer.... If you would like a quick little tutorial on it I would be glad to make one for you quick... also I would suggest a more reflective material... make it have that glossy look.... other then that great job man... and I would love too see more of yoru modeling..

thanks man, I really appreciate the comment. I will get a wireframe view as soon as I can. This is only my first semester at this college in this program. We did not have a poly count that we had to go by. I believe the final was around 112,000. When I go back on campus Wednesday I will be sure to get all that. I have done some other work, just for beginners, nothing I really wanna show off lol. But this is the first thing I have been really proud of. I am a newbie at the whole lighting thing, I trust I will get better as time goes on. I would love a tutorial on it, that would help me out a tone. I am taking an Animation and Modeling class this next semester, they are also teaching us ZBrush witch I am excited about. Thanks for the comment. Hope to hear from ya more.

hahah awsome stuff... yeah I'm just finishing up my first semester also... I'm in 3D animation and VFX though haha... but I've been teaching myself maya for a couple years now and I'm finaly starting to get better myself haha...

I'm guessing your using 3Ds Max? Since it is the one tehy use most for gaming production. Also, Zbrush will probably be used to make the displacement and normal maps probably... (example at the bottom)

When I find a bit of time I'll make a quick and simple lighting tutorial for you. Right now thought I have a bunch of final projects bah! I don't even have time for my own models haha.
