How would i make it so as my P.I.N entry form submit's when the hidden text box has a value of 4 charactors

i know document.userdetails.submit(); submits

And i know that <INPUT TYPE="button" class="button" NAME="two" VALUE=" 2 " OnCLick="userdetails.enterval1.value += '2'">
That will add the number 2 into the hidden text box.

But i have tryed for hours to get javascript to auto submit the form when the hidden box has 4 charactors in can any one help pelase
