Hand tool

Every time I open Photoshop it's on the hand tool then when I select another tool it stays on the hand tool!

are you talking about the hand tool you use to drag around the picture? Thats odd, maybe try reinstalling it, probably some corrupt files or something.

You arn't holding down the spacebar are you? That's the quick key for it, know it seems stupid but you know lol.

But if I reinstall I have to re install all my nrushes and redo all that information I had to do in teh beginnign, right?

no you dont, uninstalling just removes only things that havent been touched, so you can move the brushes etc... to another location and then overwrite the installed files.

You don't need to move the brushes and any other presets, Photoshop asks you if you would like to keep your presets on removal.

I've never actually reinstalled ps, it might be like windows, where it can just restore corrupt files, and keep it activated. If not, then yes, you'll have to re-activate it.

well i reinstalled it and the activation info didn't carry over so i had to reactivate it. Buts it's all good.

It does ask you when you uninstall it, if you would like to keep the details...I checked hahaha.
