hello
I have downloaded WordPress but I havn't done anything because am not sure how is it going to work well I know what its for, my question is, I want to add articles but not in a different page for example my template got a top banner, and left and right sides (for menus ... etc) so i want to articles to be in the middle ....
can anyone give me an advice please

Hi sofiano,
WP arranges articles in the middle by default! :biggrin:
First you should make categories to store your posted articles in.
For managing categories (adding, deleting, editing) in the top navigation menu go to:
Manage -> Categories

And for adding articles into categories go to:
Write -> Write Post

and that's it.

thanks wilson ... but the problem is my wordpress is as followed: www.mysite.com/wordpress
and i want to display the articles the i post in www.mysite.com/news_01.htm

any idea please

As you're saying you have a folder called 'wordpress' in your root. so you have to move all files in that dir to the root.
and then change the wp url settings.
and that's it.

Yes, instead of installing wordpress in its own subfolder called wordpress, install all the files within the root directory.
