I'm using this for the navigational part. I want to find out if there's a way for the button to know which html page is currently active. Let's say I'm in the HOME page, I want to home animation menu to be in the over state so the user will know that the home is the active link in the flash nav menu.

Thanks in advance :google:

use swifr flash replacement, with that yuo can push variables into the flash movie from the "html" page onto the root of the timeline, there you can check the variable and make the corrosponding menu item on :P

swifr is a javascript class tht get around the problem of IE display that gay message of allow dissalow thing for flash movies, it also makes it very easy to embed files.

(do a search on google for swifr flash replacment)

basically u can push variables into the flash movie and it ends up on the root of the timeline. Then you can use that variable when you build your menu, so if the menu item id or sumthing is equal to the variable you set from swifr then make it on, else make it off :)
