Hey, Im going to Australia, Perth in June for 8 weeks to visit my cousin, now Im not much of a flying person, Im not scared of flying, I just dont want to sit in one place for hours on end!

I was told by a friend that the quickest way to Perth is to fly from UK to Dubai to Perth and takes 12 hours apparantly.

Can someone confirm this or know of the quickest way?

Dubai is probably the best way to go - and when you think about it, a 12 hour trip isn't that bad. Just bring along a laptop or something

But yes, it's best to speak to the the Travel Agents before you make concrete decisions.

Funny... I'm going to Perth in a couple of weeks. Want to try and get to Perth early? lol

Umm planes arent scary, ive traveled about 9times now? Longest being 7hrs. Just really boring.

Planes can be scary lol I flew to Canada just after 911 and I've never been so terrified in all my life, I used to go to work on a 6 seater plane in Australia every week and they were hold your breath don't look down kinda flights lol

Small planes scare me alot! I mostly travel in Boings, if not Fockers or w/e its spelled.. Fockers are scary enough, i cant imagine a smaller aircraft :/
I travled in 2001 to Brasil from Bridgeport CN, was pretty scary......

My last flight we had a islum inside, nothing against, but you get scared just looking....

Im not afraid of flying, Ive been on a plane around... 20 times, I just hate long flights. Going to US was longest. But I was asleep most of the time, but when I work my legs hurt, so on the way back my dad upgraded us up to business class xD

Yeah so I called my cousin (Thank god for skype!) and he said Dubai is the best way

From London, if your going via dubai takes about 26 hours, if via singapore about 22 hours, thats if you're landing in sydney, its about 3 hours less if you're getting of in perth.

I flew from New Zealand to England, i think thats one of the longest flights in the world.

It was alright, except we were flying Thai airways.. i wasn't feeling particularly well and once everyone had eaten their curry.. well...yeah
