Thanks Bug mate

If you can tell from the crap webcam pic of the pen sketch, its like a tree taken over by a robot thing, on a grass mound
Iam sure it will all come a lot clear on later updates lol

Updated the first post, not much

Its nice apart from the super clean edges where the wires are coming out of.

Have you thought about how it works?
The image the is currently getting conjured up in my head is of some old man painstakingly going over the holes with a file to make it curved and perfectly smooth.
I would more expect at least some cracks and a slightly muddier edge rather than the straight bevel you have at the moment.
Also the curves themselves look unatural, they dont appaer to follow the woods pattern. I know you probably did the curves first then the texture (i would have done no questions asked :P) but it now doesnt look right.
You have also covered up the nice painting you did behind the bottom wire which seems a shame, maybe making the wire smaller, or having multiple coming out would still let the viewer see the work you did while not taking away from the whole.

Apart from that i like it, the shading looks nice and the bumpy wood near the tip of the trunk fits well with the wires going up.
Have been watching this.. the curves where bothering me :)

Thanks SHIVMOO mate

I was busy working on getting more jaggys to my tree, when i read your post
But still need to do work on it, its not smooth anymore lol
I keep tweeking one part then go back to another part, my psd is really big now, and keep having to murge layers, to keep it under 100 layers

Iv posted an update in the first post again

Thanks again

You have merged a layer in the tree's pipes that wasnt a standard layer type, the pipes have lost there shadows.

Your right about the tree loseing its shadow, i aint murdged that layer, iam going to be working on getting the shades back, its kinda what i ment, in the post befor, this is just a back layer to take away the smoothness, till i work more on the trees shades / detales iam working on the trunk thats coming into the forground at the momment,

It will all come together, at the end
Keep watching for later updates, as its been built up, and thanks again for the comments

Just saw this, and WOW! That's amazing man. I really really love it. Amazing that you did it with just dodge and burn! Two thumbs up :)

Question, did you use a tablet? Like a Wacom or something? My guess is yes ;) lol

If not, :o :) :worthy: :worthy:

Regards,

- Mark
