Well I would learn like the topic of this forum says,HTML, then move to CSS. CSS and Photoshop can do templates, rollovers, ect. To do flash you need Swish or Adobe Flash.

Try going to www.w3schools.com and doing the XHTML tutorial, then the CSS tutorial. Then practice that. By the time you are proficiant, you'll most likely be able to figure out what to next, if not don't be afraid to ask.

Yeah start of with www.w3schools.com its a great site and head over to the html part. Html is really easy to pick up i reckon then i would move onto Css after that.

As others have said, start with w3's tutorials. Also make sure to review the source code of the web sites you browse. Nothing teaches one more than seeing real-life examples in action.

I (honestly) wouldn't start with w3schools tutorials, I find them to be well... dull. They're quite hard to understand if you're just beginning also. The way I first started learning HTML is through trial and error.

I was always more of a hands-on learner, not too big on the reading. If you're anything like me you'll find that scanning through tutorials and finding out how things work on your own is a lot more rewarding than reading through blocks of text and playing with the occasional example.

Although when you get more professional in web design, it becomes less useful, try and find a WYSIWYG editor like Dreamweaver and use their tools to design websites. As you begin to get more advanced, start looking at the source code, and learn what it all means. Then take a step up and only use code, no tools.

Might not be the way you like to learn, but it's how I got started.
