I apologize if this belongs in the Flash section; it seemed it would be more a question of coding than Flash, but I could be wrong.
Inserting .SWF

I'm working on a website that's mostly going to be XHTML/CSS, but the client has requested that her portfolio area be done in flash. I'd like to make it so that the .swf can open on top of the page, rather than opening a new window (basically I want the web page to be visible through the Flash file). Is there anyway to do this?

Hi, Flanders!
For the effect you're going for, you could use some pre-configured libraries that do this for you, one of which I have a link handy for is called LightWindow. There are several others out there that have the same (or less/more) functionality as this, so it's just a matter of preference for what you want/like best for your client.
