Well I started to meess around with the 3D options in illustrator Here is one i played with just to get a hang of it with how it works and the effects..

Yeah, pretty nice outcome 
One thing I would change though is the dark grey border you have on the edges... it clashes too much with the text colour AND the background colour. Maybe try something closer to the white side of things?
Other than that it looks awesome

Thanks bug, the border thing did anoy me as well but I had a tought time figuring out how to change it.
