Okay, so on Saturday 27th Jan. this year, I went to a local metal all day festival..

My friends band was playing and a moshpit starts to form... me being slightly drunk, jumps in, has a bit of a mad few minutes while the drum solo kicked in, once the solo was finished, I walked off, got a pint of beer, went back to the front of the stage, when a man fell onto my leg, bending it inwards (Towards my left leg), so it kinda hurt, but i didnt think nothing of it, but since then, my leg has REALLY hurt in the mornings, standing up etc.

Cut to the chase... When i walk on it, its fine, when i sit down for more than a few minutes then stand up, it KILLS, when i sleep and get up, IT IS WORST!... My friends Dad is a physiotherapist and turns out I have a torn cruciate ligament.. Apparently it mainly happens in car accidents, so... he must have fell on me at some force, but I have no idea how I have been walking on it for so long... Got to go doctor tomorrow when he will finally give me medication and a knee brace.

The joys! :worthy:

so, the lesson isn't really DONT MOSH .. because its actually awesome.. Just don't stop someone from falling down with your leg when in a mosh pit :worthy:

Looks like im missing out on college tomorrow... what a shame? ;) ... :) <-- My actual face lol

End of pointless story :)

hahaha nice! I've never actually been injured as such in a mosh - damn near it at hundred reasons @ waterfront a week or so ago, 2 very large guys at the front didnt hold back on anyone haha (rightly so!)

Saved someone's head from being bashed into a metal support though, my arm somehow got into a position that it got between their head and the pole just as it headed towards it lol!

Love it love it love it.

Was at Alter Bridge last weekend in London, up front, someone decided to crowd surf, jumped up, no one caught him, he ended up landing on my mate, every one then had to just dive in and throw him off my mates back over the fence at the front.

yeesh, SOLDIER! first of all, i'm glad to hear you're okay, and i hope that the injury isn't a serious one!

second, i think moshing is a fine art. a friend of mine got hurt pretty bad at a concert a bunch of years ago, and she was wearing 19-hole Doc Martens. they were tied. tightly. somehow, from the time she stagejumped to the time she made it back to us (about fifteen feet from the stage), she had managed to lose one of her boots. i was amazed. she didn't do well afterwards, as her foot was unprotected and she refused to give up her spot in the crowd, so she got mashed pretty badly.

i've never crowdsurfed myself, but i do think a mosh pit can be HUGE fun, and a great outlet for frustration and anger. heh.
