i am a total noob to graphic/ webdesign...let me know what you think of this layout, any feedback would be excellent.

It is ok, the header and the menu buttons don't really match, and the v1.0 thing is unnattractive... 6/10, Good luck

hmmm...those things vtwn the header and the contetnt box are too big...too much cempty space, it looks like you were gonna put the nav bar there, but its way too big

Agreed, it could be better. Remove the v1 thing, and ass some more things because it looks empty as hell. Also im not sure but i dont think those tech sites are that up-to-daet anymore correct me if im wrong. But of course u r free to make a site with whatever design u want.
