So I got asked to make a youth website for a local church. They didn't want it very rock bandish so i went for a clean look. It is really plain and boring though. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ummmm I hate to break it to ou, but that link's broken.

EDIT: Wait, nvm it works
I like the design, it has nice colors and really appeals well. Not too detailed, but it's enough, and it gets the job done :)

Oh, and I suggest putting in a real contacts page, the link on the site is broken.

Could you take screenshots? That page is loading horribly slow for me and wont load the CSS.

Thanks :)

Edit: oh wait, refreshed.. took a couple mins but got there :)

Nice design, love the colours very fresh :)

Good job!

Anyone else have any suggestions about possible site features to add? They were very unspecific about it and I have never done a church website before. I want to add more because its so simple, but...

:) you need new glasses, so stop calling rips and move on.

Bouzy210 it's plain Jane boring it has no life at all, i suggest you look around the web at different sites because most I've seen involving church groups have a lot more going on than that.

I have googled church youth websites and nothing decent comes up. Thats the only content they have given me so I don't know what else to do. (I am glad you have imporvments in mind but what? because I can't find anything else to add.

Also just no. First off the colors and basic idea I used inspiration from that site, but every single peice of code is mine (It would be pathetic if I needed to copy the code for my version of the site seeing as its simple) All the code is mine and none of the textures or images are coppied I made all of my own. (Also it looks different)

Rightio boy! Time for some inspiration! Muahahahaha - and these two happen to be both Australian Youth Sites :)

Being a generation that loves being way "out there", we love something new for sites... different... "youthy". They don't have to look like a proper website... just think outside the box :P

except for the part where its nothing alike. The navigation is the same basic color, but its compleatly different (A compleatly different concept for the nav. also), the background color is the same, but thats not ripping seeing as last time I check background colors are not copyright. The footer is different, the general code is different and it looks different.

nice design but i think you need to move away from the main page being a single column (text wise) looks really empty and unfinished. maybe having a two column design would make it more interesting... news and descriptions then something down the side like future meets or something involving dates. think word press

the background could use a cool stencil type design something that pops out of the border or maybe a subtile gradent.
failing that a good old header graphic might spice things up.
also doesnt hurt to have content images/ or event image in the white space

you could prolly merge some pages in that site to make thinks look more busy and content friendly.
