hey guys,

i'll try to be descriptive as possible. i'm still learning illustrator and am having some troubles with live paint, or rather just trying to get some color on some logos i'm working on. i drew out and scanned in my images, cleaned them up in PS and placed them in AI. i've been using both live trace and live paint, just trying to figure out how to get some color. one of my logos is one continuous line and i'm trying to have the top portion one color and the bottom portion another. i'm not sure if thats possible without making 2 separate paths. if thats the case, i'm not sure how to go about creating 2 out of the one continuous one

the other logo i'm working on, i want to fill in a portion of it. for this one after i placed it, i used live paint. but when i click to fill, it fills in gray and i have no idea why.

any help is much appreciated!

do you wanna post some pictures so we can get a better idea of what you are talking about. But for the grey thing in your colour palette you have to switch it out of grayscale back into rbg or ckmy happens to me all the time..
