Does anyone know, or are their any tutorials, on how to make an images white background see through/transparent, so that when you copy and paste an image onto say a black background, you don't see the white square around the image.

If you know what I mean. It would be a good help.

Sorry if I am acting like a noob... If you still don't understand, tell me and I will try and explain it better. :P

Use the magic wand tool in Photoshop. Place it on your object and cut + paste it in to a transparent blank image? Don't use Photoshop but I think you could do so. Should work almost the same i Fireworks, I guess.

maansson, I don't have Photoshop or Fireworks. I only have MS Paint (:D) and Paintshop Pro 8. Is it possible to do it easily in those programs?

im sure you can do it on PSP, but you can't do it on MS paint - i thought you could with the draw opaque option, but you cant.

Yea, im sure on PSP (3 years since i used it) make a new image, transparent background - put your image on and save it as a .gif

remember, you cant have like, an actaul background on your image, cos then theres obviously no transparency! haha, you'll have to use the magic wand tool like maansson said ;)
