The bbc have finally updated their layout! they have come over to the web 2.0 way of thinking

Been in the pipeline for quite a while and it turned out pretty well. I think they've for the most part found a happy medium between the so called tradition and web 2.0 styled sites.

...Flash clock perhaps not necessary

Looks sweet... Should have gone with blue or red instead of brown. I think the clocks add a nice touch

you can change the colour scheme if you want...

at home i have mine set to the blue colour they used to have, but when i go on at work it rotates the colours round for me everytime.

i really like it... anyone know if are they planning on updating the news and sports page layouts as well?

I have customised everythingon my pc at home, every time i go to the bbc homepage i get:
business & money
Entertainment
BBC Iplayer
Music
News
Radio
Sport

Also changed the layout so its black.

They use jQuery

I like it, I know its been in the pipeline for quite some time and they haven't finished yet (not all the site has been moved over yet) but I think they have made a good job so far. Would like to see something like save stories to your account or something. So if i found a story i wanted to look back on in the future for reference or something i could save it to "my account".

Like I said, i like it. Good work BEEB!

I do agree though, it is tacky but that's the only design fault I think about it.

am not sure but maybe it takes getting used to. I think they should've kept it in beta for a while longer.
