I've just started my college bus project..... my problem here is that i have used too many divs and absolutes for th edivs i want the website to run freely. i just want to type as normal but i know theres tables to use. my website must be accessibility to everyone e.g. visual impairment people so that the text can be viewed in large print but the footer of the links must move down if in large print along with the pics?

How do i go on doing this? without using divs but and absolutes?

I have a banner at the top just like this http://www.dannyps3..../templatea1.htm

Its mess up in firefox, but fine in IE i have checked the sizes make sure they all have px at the end and they do any idea whats wrong?

Am using Dreamweaver MX not got CS3 yet should get it within the next 2 weeks from college fundings.

Well its unfortunate that you are deaf, but does that affect the way you write? Sry if that's rude (u do make sense though).

I think your problem is that you are using way to much inline style, and your using tables to align content (which is a big no no). I think you need to use more css.

In conclusion you should be more concerned about the fact that your website doesn't look right in FF than you should about the amount of divs the site has.

Hmmm, you can clean it up by using CSS 'floats' and 'width' containers instead of Absolute values. Never use Absolute - it will look different when viewed through different browsers or screen resolutions.

You can use absolute positioning as long as it's done right. It will look fine across browsers if done right. You should review your site's layout and see if there's a more efficient way to slice and code the layout. Also, if you allow a program to do it for you it is more difficult to see what the issue. A program generating your code will create non meaningful names like layer1, layer2, etc.
